A fantastic opportunity has arisen at LoCo2 Energy for an individual to join the Customer Services Team on a permant basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development of the department and will be able to learn about the wider business. They will be required to take ownership of core processes across the department and will be instrumental in liaising with other operational departments across the business.

Core Role:

  • To answer customer calls and queries, and to direct and escalate queries where necessary
  • To monitor the email inbox and take action where appropriate
  • To learn and utilise the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software Gentrack
  • To be proactive in acquiring new customers and upselling customers onto different services
  • To understand the customer journey and to produce the relevant letters and communications to the customer at each stage
  • To undertake outbound calls to chase meter readings and final bills
  • To respond to customer problems and ensure appropriate action is taken to remedy problems
  • To uphold good customer relations practice in line with Consumer Focus requirements
  • To manage the removal of leaving customers from the LoCO2 systems
  • To be flexible to help out with billing issues as necessary

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of working within a Customer Services environment
  • Have excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Be self-confident, highly adaptable, self-motivated and capable of using own initiative
  • Have a good standard of education where a high level of literacy and numeracy is essential
  • Have the ability to cope with a significant amount of data entry and a willingness to deal with customers on the telephone
  • Be comfortable working quite a high proportion of the working day on their own and as part of a small team
  • Ability to draft correspondence is vital
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
  • Willingness to get involved in the work of the company; to take an interest in the company's objectives and to offer assistance where appropriate

Billing Specialist

JOB TITLE: Billing Specialist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at LoCo2 Energy for an individual to join the Billing Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development of the department and will be instrumental in liaising with other operational departments across the business. They will be able to learn about the wider business and will be required to take ownership of core processes across the department, producing customer invoices for our clients, accurately and on time, to help guarantee the company's revenues.

Core Role:

Point of contact for most metering issues (DMT liaison) affecting domestic billing, Final Billing process for end of supply or change of tenancy (CoT)

Ensure the successful completion of bill runs in accordance with the Customer Invoice Cycle Calendar

Deal with incoming telephone and email billing queries

Resolution of Validations within the CRM that are restricting the billing process

Identify potential billing related issues and track these through to resolution

Liaise with other departments to resolve issues that impact customer bills i.e. Data Management & Metering, Finance, Marketing, Customer Services

Assist management with changes to systems and processes which provide direct improvements to operational efficiency and the customer experience

Provide analysis and recommendations to the Billing Manager on any business IT proposals that impact the end to end billing process

Update and maintain the business billing functionality

Assist the Billing Manager with ad hoc tasks as required

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Gas Data Manager

LoCO2 Energy has forged itself a solid and expanding customer base in a very competitive and dynamic market. We began supplying gas in March 2015 and currently supply around 5,000 gas customers and 14,000 electricity customers. We are now in a position for rapid growth in this area and are looking for experienced professionals to facilitate this.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development of the department and will be able to learn about the wider business. They will be required to take ownership of core processes across the department and will be instrumental in liaising with other operational departments across the business.

Core Role:

  • Manage and develop processes to keep up with industry changes and well as internal operational needs
  • Communicate to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Communicate through a range of mediums (e.g. data flows, email, phone)
  • Produce and analyse reports, making recommendations or highlight areas for improvement across the department
  • Report and track departmental performance in line with KPIs
  • Problem solving for a wide range of issues
  • Build relationships with 3rd Parties, to meets SLAs where appropriate

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of the Retail Gas Market with a supplier
  • In depth knowledge and experience of Nexus Project
  • Experience using a CRM system

Feed-in-Tariff Analyst

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development of the business and will be able to learn about the wider company. They will be required to take ownership of core processes across the department and will be instrumental in liaising with other operational departments across the business.

Core Role:

  • Correspondence with customers and Ofgem, primarily by phone and email
  • Data entry, processing and analysis
  • Maintaining both the company and Ofgem databases for FIT generators
  • Processing of new applications
  • Gain some knowledge of the FIT guidance and legislation issued by Ofgem and DECC
  • Provide support to the rest of the team, particularly regarding issues relating to FITs
  • Working with a contracted meter operator to process third party meter readings
  • Verification of customer data
  • General office administration

Essential Skills:

  • Proven analytical capability

The overall purpose of the role is to liaise with internal and industry bodies ensuring read data mismatches and errors are resolved in a timely manner. The individual will need to take responsibility for consumption value outliers and data mismatches on acquisition & loss and assist the wider Data Management department in ensuring industry settlement data is kept up to date and corrected where applicable.

Core Role:

  • Take responsibility for opening and closing disputes and manage this process using internal systems & adhering to industry SLA's & standards.
  • Take responsibility for raising, accepting & rejecting, where applicable, Erroneous Transfer requests adhering to industry SLA's & standards.
  • Investigate meter read outliers and liaise with third party agents to resolve failures.
  • Use internal systems to update industry bodies with settlement information.

Assist Line Manager with ad hoc tasks as required.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development of the business and will develop a deep understanding of all aspects of the energy industry as well as how policy and regulations are used to enact changes within the industry.

Core Role:

  • Support the Regulations Manager in keeping abreast of all Energy regulatory and policy changes and developments and keeping the company informed of any impending changes.
  • Assist the Regulations Manager in co-ordinating the implementation of regulatory changes, including system changes, training requirements, and process changes.
  • Representing the companies view at stakeholder events and in response to regulatory consultations.
  • Responding to ad-hoc requests for information from OFGEM, BEIS, Citizens advice, and others as required.
  • Publishing regular reports as stipulated by our supply licence such as social obligations reporting, theft risk assessment service, and complaints reporting.

Essential Skills:

  • A keen interest in Energy policy and regulation and the ability to show this interest.
  • Ability to read and digest policy documents and feed this information back into the business.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data and coalesce this into the required reporting format.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external to the business.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.


Desirable Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
